🐾In this first episode of the Calm Pet Connection Series, I share a simple grounding exercise you can do with your dog (or any pet...including cats) to help both of you feel calmer and more connected. I personally used this technique after a stressful moment with my dog and noticed how quickly it helped regulate my nervous system — and how my dog responded. This method uses the Hand Valley Point (LI4) and focuses on nervous system regulation first, before trying to calm or correct your animal. I also share a powerful insight from my conversation with comedian Chris Distefano about how his dog Josephine was incredibly tuned into his emotional and nervous system state — even during a chaotic interview.
